HOW DO I RECEIVE ACADEMIC CREDIT?

Because there is no international system for university credits, we have to take each student's request case by case.

We suggest you ask your archaeology faculty advisor about options. Many departments have a fieldwork course or some sort of independent project which you can sign up for. You or your advisor will need to let us know what the department requires for you to receive credit.

In the past we have filled out forms with or without grades, and sometimes students write a paper on the experience or keep a field journal.

Every school is different, so please just find out what needs to be done and we'll do it.

At the very least you will receive a certificate from the dig director and the institution outlining your participation on the dig.
