Dionisio
Urbina, Ph.D.
Dr. Urbina earned a Ph.D in History from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Dr. Urbina has directed more than 20 projects of investigation and excavation, and has published more than 30 articles and monographic series. He is a specialist in 2nd Iron Age culture in Central Iberian Peninsula. In 1998 he started the Plaza de Moros Archaeological Project, which includes the Field School of Archaeology, a program of professional development for k-12 teachers, and an archaeological museum and educational center. He currently is a professor of archaeology at a private institution in Madrid.
Catalina
Urquijo.
Ms. Urquijo, a professional archaeologist, earned her degrees in History at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and co-founded the Plaza de Moros Archaeological Project along with Dr. Urbina. Ms. Urquijo has performed extensive research work and published several articles about the Roman world and the Iron Age. Catalina Urquijo has also directed several excavations and she currently co-directs the Plaza de Moros Archaeological Project, which includes the Field School or Archaeology.
