José M. Blázquez Martínez, Ph.D.
Dr.
Blázquez is Professor Emeritus of Universidad Complutense de Madrid
and member of the Spanish Royal Academy of History. He is considered Spain’s
most important Ancient History specialist and has been recognized as Doctor
Honoris Causa by several universities. Dr. Blázquez is an expert
in pre-Roman and Roman History of Hispania and he has published his extensive
research in hundreds of articles about Ancient Hispania, the Phoenician
Culture and the History of Religions.
José Remesal Rodríguez, Ph.D.
Dr. Remesal is a professor of Ancient History at the University of Barcelona and also works as director of the university's Center for the Study of the Provincial Interdependency in the Classical World. This center has created the largest existing database of amphoral epigraphy. Dr. Remesal is an expert in Social and Economic History of the Roman Empire and he has focused some of his most important work on studying the production and commerce of food in the Ancient World and the Roman control over this commerce. In addition to the Monte Testaccio project, Dr. Remesal directs a research project in Colonia Ulpia Traiana - Xanten (Germany).

Antoni
Puig
Antoni is a member of the Monte Testaccio research team and has overseen the ArchaeoSpain crew since 2005. He has an Archaeology degree from the University of Barcelona where he is currently finishing his Ph.D. on the Romanization of Mallorca, where he was born.
He has led several archaeological projects in Barcelona, and
has also worked on sites such as Clunia in Burgos and Pollentia in Mallorca.
