historical excursions
The
group will also have an opportunity to tour the main places of interest
in the Tiermes area. Today a rural area in central Spain, Tiermes offers
a comprehensive scope of Spain's history over the past 4 millennia, from
the Roman ruins of Numancia to the Moorish and Medieval castles of Gormaz
and Caracena.
We believe that visiting the sites in the region helps greatly to understand the archaeological work performed at the site. All of these excursions are included in the program costs.
Visits may vary depending on your program dates and the excavation schedule.
